Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes – Desert – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

This complet 10-day tour that crosses the country from north to south, is full of diversity and charm, combining the visit of picturesque cities and historical monuments, with Berber villages, natural landscapes and a unique experience in the Sahara desert.
Starting in Tangier and ending in the fascinating city of Marrakech, we will visit Chefchaouen, the blue city rich in spiritual tradition; Fes and its many treasures hidden in the labyrinth of souks; until we reach the desert area to discover the ancestral traditions of its people, its markets, its colors and enjoy a spectacle for the senses: endless dunes and a magical atmosphere that will allow us to spend an unforgettable night under the starlight and the music of the drums. We will travel the famous route of the Thousand Kasbahs where we will visit Ouarzazate and the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, we will cross the Atlas to contemplate the beauty of its landscapes and enjoy unhurriedly its lost villages until we arrive in Marrakech, the red city of a thousand colors.
In this private trip, a English-speaking driver and an expert guide will accompany you on all the trips in a comfortable vehicle and exclusively for you.
This route can be done in reverse, starting in Marrakech and ending in Tangier or any other city. If you want to modify the route, add or remove days, you can make us your proposal and we will be happy to help you to prepare your customized trip.
Day 1. Arrival in Tangier
Welcome at Tangier airport according to your arrival time and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2. Tetouan – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we will depart to Chefchaouen, making a stop in Tetouan, known as the Spanish city. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will be dropped off at your accommodation and have free time to stroll around the streets of the blue city and contemplate its panoramic views.

Day 3. Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast, we will depart for the Roman ruins of Volubilis and stop at the holy city of Moulay Idriss. We will continue on our way to our destination. Upon arrival in Fes, we will drop you off at your accommodation.

After breakfast, we will have the full day to visit the city with an official guide. We will take a guided tour of the main monuments: Royal Palace, Jewish Quarter, Medina, Souks, Madrasas, and Tanners. We will also go by vehicle to the surrounding area for a panoramic view.
Fes was founded by Idris I in the 12th century and was for years the cultural capital and center of Almohad interest. It is one of the imperial cities with more touristic interest for its history and craftsmanship and has one of the largest medinas in the Arab world. We will visit the Madrasa Attarine, one of the most beautiful Koranic schools in the city.

Day 5. Ifrane – Midelt – Erg Chebbi Desert
After breakfast, we will depart in a southerly direction. We will cross the Middle Atlas, with a stop in Ifrane (known as the Moroccan Switzerland), we will also stop in Azrou where we will find the Cedar Forest and its famous monkeys in the wild and will be able to feed them.
We will pass through the city of Midelt, where we will have lunch, and cross the Ziz Valley, admiring its impressive palm trees, making a stop to contemplate this spectacular landscape, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful valleys in Morocco.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi (the largest and most impressive of Morocco). That night we will sleep in a charming hotel in front of the dunes.

Day 6. Erg Chebbi Desert
After breakfast, we will make a 4×4 tour around the whole Erg Chebbi and we will see part of the route followed by the former Paris-Dakar. Then we will go to a nomad settlement to learn about the customs of the inhabitants of the desert.
We will continue until we reach the village of Khamlia, where its inhabitants will offer us tea and give us a small music concert. In the afternoon, we will be able to admire the immensity of the desert, entering its dunes and enjoy a camel ride to watch a fantastic sunset.
That night, we will experience a magical moment, sleeping in a tent camp in the middle of the desert, under the light of the stars, enjoying the absolute silence. After dinner, we will gather around the fire to listen to live music of traditional drums.

After watching the beautiful sunrise between the dunes and breakfast, we will visit Rissani and stroll through what is known as the most authentic and traditional souk of the area, where all kinds of handicrafts, food and animals are traded. We will continue to the Todra Gorges, where we can take a pleasant walk through its imposing canyon of rock walls of more than 200 meters high. On the way we will cross the Valley of the Roses and end the day in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we will visit with an official guide the Kasbah Taourirt. Then we will visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (World Heritage Site).
We will continue to Marrakech, passing through theAtlas Mountains and crossing th Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest road point of the country (2260m), making our way through numerous Berber nomadic villages that inhabit the mountains. This spectacular scenery will lead us to the city of Marrakech and we willransfer to the hotel.

We will have breakfast and early in the morning we will be picked up at our accommodation by an official English speaking guide to visit the main monuments of Marrakech: Bahia Palace, the Saadiens Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the central and famous Jamaa el Fna Square and the Souks.
